» COVID-19 UPDATES - THE SHOW IS STILL ON

Update: March 16, 2020:
Both local governments as well as the NPC are paying very close attention to larger events and have restrictions in place. Right now, all events until May 9 have been put on hold. They may be moving their dates or cancelling the events until 2021. It is very stressful for everyone involved. We speak with many promoters and they are all saddended by what is going on, but have the safety of the athletes and spectators on thier minds first and foremost.

The Cascadian Classic date is May 23, 2020. So, things are still as planned.
We are working with our venue to make sure that we can put on an event without compromising the health of athletes, spectators, staff and vendors.

We will continue to post here to help answer any questions you may have. It is hard to stay up to date with all the text messages, private messages, dm's and emails. So please take the time to read our latest updates right here.

We are paying very close attention to both our local and state governments as well as the Oregon Health Authority and staying on top of all the ongoing policies and rules put into place.

All our athletes will still be competing and we look forward to having them onstage. As for spectators, everything is as planned and we are also working on some backup plans to keep moving forward and put on a great event for both the athletes and spectators.

We take the safety of our attendees, athletes & vendors seriously. We encourage all of our athletes, attendees & exhibitors to feel confident participating in our show or any other show in the Pacific Northwest. We highly recommend everyone attending to wash their hands thoroughly as you should do every day and bring sanitizer as a precaution. We may even have quite a bit on hand ourselves. » CONTIGENCY PLAN

As things keep moving forward, we also have put a contingency plan into place so that all the athletes can still compete and there can still be spectators. This plan will only be put into place if there is a limit to how many people can attend.

We will run two divisions at a time allowing for the athlete’s family and friends to be able to watch while staying within that 250 limit. We will allow 250 people for each round. When we do this, we will run a prejudging round, then take a small 15 minute break and do a finals round. Then after that, we will clear the room of spectators and athletes (not vendors and staff) and allow for the next set of spectators and athletes to come in to watch or compete in the next two divisions.

We are still working on the details of this, but this is only if the ban is still in place… otherwise, everything else is still the same as previous years.
